Essay Articles

The Journal publishes articles in all fields of history. Members of the NCAH are given preference in scheduling publication of their work. It is easy and inexpensive to become a member of NCAH, and we encourage authors to do so before submitting their manuscripts for consideration.

Authors interested in submitting articles for consideration should visit our call for manuscripts page for information. The Journal welcomes submissions from emerging and established scholars, including both faculty and students.

Book Reviews

The Journal publishes a generous and varied selection of book reviews in every issue. Individuals who wish to review books for the Journal should visit the information for book reviewers page.

Peer Reviewers

The Journal would like to build a database of individuals who would be willing to engage in blind peer review of manuscripts. If you are interested in serving as a peer reviewer, please let us know.

For questions about submitting an article to the Journal or serving as a peer reviewer, contact Dr. Kathleen Carter, managing editor. For inquiries about writing book reviews for the Journal, contact our book review editor, Dr. Rebecca M. Seaman.
